Versatile Compatibility: Our conversion bracket is designed to work with both auto and manual transmissions. However, please note that this kit is exclusively designed for left-hand drive (LHD) vehicles.

Bracket Variants: There are two distinct variants of this bracket to cater to different vehicle setups. It's essential to specify your requirement when ordering. Both bracket variants position the handbrake within the cabin in the same location, with the primary difference being the method of chassis mounting.

  • V2 Variant: Ideal for cars that have undergone a manual swap and will not accommodate the factory automatic shifter. This version typically suits vehicles with modified transmission tunnels, like those fitted with a CD00X, W58 with an appropriate shifter housing, or R154 with an appropriate shifter housing. The V2 bracket makes use of the M6 threaded hole situated directly in front of the factory shifter hole. Ensure compatibility with your transmission swap before making any tunnel alterations.

  • V1 Variant: Tailored for vehicles that have experienced either automatic or manual swaps but have retained the original, unaltered shape of the transmission tunnel. We recommend this bracket for automatic cars that possess a factory-shaped transmission tunnel and intend to remain automatic. This variant is also more suitable for those planning to extend the factory shifter hole forward, potentially affecting the M6 threaded holes surrounding it.

Manual Transmission Swaps: If you plan to perform a manual transmission swap and can accommodate the V2 bracket, we recommend selecting the V2 handbrake bracket. Please note that you will only be able to install the handbrake bracket after completing your manual swap.

Transmission Tunnel Modifications: It's essential to know that the V1 kit was created based on the factory transmission tunnel shape. If your transmission tunnel has been modified or hammered in any way, we cannot be held responsible for fitment issues. We strongly advise contacting us with any questions before purchasing to ensure a seamless fit.

Additional Components Required: You will need to supply the following components separately:

  • SC Handbrake
  • Leather handbrake boot (optional)
  • Front half of SC cable (handbrake to cable connector)
  • SC 2-1 cable connector (IS300 cable connector works as well)
