The stock differential bushings are ill-suited for high-grip or high-power situations. Soft bushings can contribute to issues like wheel hop and flex, which, in turn, can lead to axle and other component damage. Xcessive Manufacturing's new solid Urethane bushings provide a significant enhancement, particularly in demanding scenarios.

General Fitment and Installation

Upgrading your differential bushings is a straightforward process. Simply remove the stock bushings from the differential and replace them with these solid Urethane ones. Additionally, it's advisable to consider rear bushings if you haven't already installed them, as they complement the upgrade for optimal results.

Materials

Xcessive Manufacturing's new bushings are crafted from 70 Shore D urethane, a material similar to Nylon. This urethane offers the advantage of noise and vibration absorption (NVH) without any deflection. Remarkably, they are as rigid as aluminum but without the harsh road noise typically associated with aluminum components. While you may notice a bit more road noise compared to soft rubber or urethane bushings, the overall performance benefits make it a worthwhile trade-off.
