Q2) Why only 2002-2005? Why is it that 2001 cannot be fully tuned?
Before 2001/2002 The ECUs were not designed to have the memory chips rewritten and many cannot be rewritten.
Q3) Can I make a 2002 ECU work in a 2001?
Sure, But you will have to change both the engine and chassis harnesses or make an adapter harness to go in between which is a huge amount of work.
Q4) Will Monitors show ready after the tune?
Yes and no. Normally the tune will show monitors ready for testing. If you have any of the emissions disabled it will never show monitors ready.
Q5) Do you warranty purchased/supplied ECU's?
1 Year from the date of purchase
Q6) Are there changes to the automatic transmission tune?
Yes! Shift speed and firmness are drastically improved, Shift time vs speed vs pedal position is also improved over stock.
Q7) Can you make an automatic ECU into a manual ECU?
Yes we can!
Q8) Will the tunes work with an aftermarket intake?
There is no better intake than the stock intake for many reasons. But you can use some aftermarket intakes with the tune.
Q9) Will the tunes work with headers?
Yes! The header plus the tune makes for more power than either mod can make individually! Be sure to list your mods in the notes on checkout!
Q10) What's your return policy on tuned ECU's?
There are no returns on supplied ECUs, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. if there is a problem with the ECU within 1 year we will replace it for free. No questions asked.
On customer-supplied ECU's if you're not 100% happy with the tune, Send it back and we will return your ECU to stock.

Q12) What is sub O2 Removal?
This Eliminates the O2 Sensor codes from the installation of headers without sub-O2 Sensor Ports.
Q13) What is the crackle tune and how does it work?
Crackle tune makes burbling and crackling noises on deceleration when the throttle is slightly pressed down.
Q14) What is dyno mode?
When this option is selected, Press the ECT Power ON button once you are in the desired gear for dyno testing and it will lock the gear in manual mode so that it will not upshift or downshift.
Q15) What is the rev limiter change, and what do you recommend?
This is only available for manual ECUs. It raises the maximum rpm limit of the engine. On a stock IS300, we recommend a maximum of 7250RPM
Q16) Will I need a locksmith/mechanic to pair my keys?
No, You will not. The ECUs we sell come ready to pair with the first key used to start the car after it is installed. If you send in your ECU the original key data is kept on the ECU. The only time you will need to have a locksmith come and pair your keys is if you send in an ECU that isn't from your vehicle, like one supplied by a junkyard. In which case you can have the immobilizer disabled to get around that.
